This was the scene at the Rise Up Summit & SBC Backpack Giveaway, an event that combined powerful discussions, engaging activities, and generous giveaways to create an unforgettable experience.

The event kicked off with a dynamic discussion led by Rev. Anthony Ancrum, who, along with panelists London Miller (founder), Semaj, Mikayla, and Micahai, engaged the audience in a lively exchange of ideas. The conversation touched on various aspects of leadership, with one particularly thought-provoking question from the moderator leading to an exploration of parent-child interactions. It was revealed that parents, as leaders—whether positively or negatively—can sometimes unknowingly contribute to bullying behaviors due to generational disconnects.
The audience was fully involved, sharing their experiences and insights. The dialogue was so compelling that we had to cancel the planned breakout sessions to allow more time for this rich exchange of ideas.

Every student left with a backpack filled with school supplies, an event t-shirt, and a swag bag full of exciting goodies. The DJ kept the energy high with upbeat music, turning the gathering into a vibrant celebration.
